The theme of this educational event is Sickle Cell Unite: Bridging the Gap. We are encouraging the union of Sickle Cell Warriors community-based organizations, patients, advocates, caregivers, other) and Healthcare Champions (ED, PCP, hematologist, hospitalist, nurses, other) through awareness, education, and technology.

 

We desire to enhance quality of care, decrease stigmas, and misunderstandings related to sickle cell disease through education and awareness. 

 

The community event will include multiple virtual sessions.​​
